Opera quietly releasing Opera 10

Opera 10While it may not come with much fanfare, on September 1st Opera 10 will be released to the masses.  The question isn’t whether it will be any good, Opera has been a  solid browser for years.  The question is, if a browser is released and nobody notices, is it really released at all?

Opera 10, codenamed Peregrine, has an improved UI, increased support for Web Standards, new tools for web developers and perhaps most important of all……Opera Turbo, the new bandwidth booster for slow internet connections.  That alone should be enough to have more people try it out, I mean it is free right, so you have nothing to lose.  With only about 2% of the browser market in its grasp Opera has a long way to go and I’m not sure whether they will ever get there, although it’s certainly not for a lack of trying.
